Program overview
A panel of junior physicians in hematology/oncology and transplant discuss allogeneic hematopoietic cell transplant (HCT) in the management of adult patients with high-risk myelodysplastic syndrome (MDS). As they discuss specific patient cases and clinical scenarios, they cover research, tools, clinical trials, best practices and shared challenges when considering HCT for this patient population.
Earn up to 1.0 CME credit.
Target audience
This CME activity is intended for fellows, early career and other clinicians who treat patients with MDS or who specialize in hematology/oncology or HCT.
Learning objectives
Upon completion of this course, the learners should be better able to:
- Identify shared challenges in MDS treatment among hematology/oncology and transplant teams
- Examine current research, tools and clinical trials considered in the treatment of MDS with transplant
- Describe best practices in MDS risk stratification, timing and eligibility for transplant
