Holiday Schedule

NMDP will be closed in observance of the following holidays:

• New Year's Day    Thursday, January 1
• Martin Luther King, Jr Day    Monday, January 19
• Memorial Day    Monday, May 25
• Juneteenth    Friday, June 19
• Independence Day    Friday, July 3
• Labor Day    Monday, September 7
• Thanksgiving Day    Thursday, November 26
• Day after Thanksgiving    Friday, November 27
• Christmas Day    Friday, December 25

International Shipping and Holiday Closure Calendar

Timing is essential when delivering blood samples.

A list of the dates that blood cannot be delivered to laboratories (labs) or Transplant Centers is available via International Shipping Calendar. The labs or centers in a country are closed on these dates because of a national or religious holiday. Dates are provided by the World Marrow Donor Association (WMDA) who is responsible for collecting closures from each registry.

In general, labs and centers are always closed on certain days of the week:

• All labs and centers are closed Saturday and Sunday unless specified
• Every Friday and Saturday, the labs in Saudi Arabia and Israel are closed
• Every Sunday, the labs in all countries except Israel and Saudi Arabia are closed
