Unified Search Results
Once a patient is created in MatchSource, a real-time search is run on the NMDP Registry and World Marrow Donor Association (WMDA) Source list using the HapLogic matching algorithm. Donor and cord blood unit search results is returned. These
results display in a single Unified Search Results list for donors and a single Unified Search Results list for cords. The EMDIS Cooperative search results will follow within the next few days and will be added to the Unified Search Results lists
as each of the registry results are returned. HapLogic will assign match categories and predictions to all sources and will sort the Unified lists in descending match category so that the user can identify the best possible stem cell source for their
patient.
After the search is run and the search results are returned by HapLogic, these results are broken down into a summary of the donor and cord counts based on match category. The Summary Counts page displays immediately after running a search.
The user can navigate to the Donor or Cord Unified Search Results lists from the Summary Counts page.

The Search Results page can be accessed in a number of ways:

The Search Results page is broke up into different sections; Application Header, Page Header, Section Header and Search Results list.
Page Header
At the top of the Search Results page, just under the application header, there is a Page Header. The Page Header consists of the Page Title, Total donor or cord count, Search Results date, Go To dropdown menu, Run Search button, Cart button and Export icon button.
There are three separate Unified Search Results lists depending on source type: Donors, AB Only Donors and Cords. Note: the AB Only Donor list will only display after an AB Only donor search is run. When viewing a list, the number of donors or cords that are returned will display in a blue box next to the page title, 'Search Results'. The number will change when switching between source types.
